Renewable Energy Knowledge Base
Renewable energy? What are the best sources for someone to learn more about renewable energy? What renewable energy source do you think is ideal? What articles/books/podcasts/etc do you recommend on the subject? What do you think America's plan should be in creating a more sustainable world?
Who is doing renewable energy education? How are you accomplishing the task? What are you focused on? I am researching the current energy and renewable energy issues facing the world. The task is very extensive and complicated. Each region has renewable energy opportunities that can be important to environmental issues, economic development, and social needs for all humans. Government agencies, industry, agriculture, educational and research organizations are focused upon massive research efforts. This seems to provide a way to share information, thoughts and ways to help people to improve our lives by conserving energy, find alternative energy resources and realize that fossil fuels are depleting and non-renewable. Can renewable energy be a way to produce additional energy? Networking can provide valuable information to further the advancement of changing habits about energy. I am a farmer with a background in sustainable energy and educational degrees in agriculture. A sustainable energy for industrial and developing countries can improve the quality of life of all human beings.
How to purchase and use Renewable Energy Certificates? Can someone please explain if and how I can buy renewable energy certificates for my apartment electricity use. My local energy company does not currently provide renewable energy and I am under the impression I can buy certificates from renewable energy companies and use those certificates to pay for my current electric bill. Can you please explain this process.
What does it take to make Renewable Energy Economically viable? Workable energy resource requirements, Independent of being Renewable: 1)Energy available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. 2)At retail level directly compete with energy resources for today’s activity - if not, sellable spin-off benefits to subsidize the cost. 3)Transportable 4)Technology available. 5)No more environmentally harmful than competing energy resources. 6)Supplies close enough to consumer that distribution losses due to capacity doesn't become an issue. 7)Politicians that back any solution be able to explain it to their constituents. The area below the question wasn't answering the question, but the breath of the question. I’ve heard you are brilliantly creative. Economically there is at least 1 item more disastrous than investing in renewable energy infrastructure, not having a replacement for fossil fuel. I don't wish to taint your creativity with my solution. The governments have tryed thinking small with little addition to supply. I've gone the opposite route to change the economics of Renewable Energy. Please be as creative as the person was that during WW II came up with running the exhaust through aircraft feul tanks to mitigate possibily of explosition when shot.
How much does it usually cost to convert to renewable energy in the Philippines? Are there local manufacturers in the Philippines where small homeowners can buy or get service in installing equipments for solar panelling and the likes? maybe even bio-source energy? If renewable energy is already available, is there also a program for selling (i'm taking small scale) excess energy back to the energy grid in the Philippines?
Where in the world is there undergraduate degrees in renewable energy and/or sustainability? I've already found a few, such as the University of New South Wales - Photovoltaic/solar energy degree. However, I would like to fully know all my options for undergraduate degrees in solar energy/wind energy/renewable energy etc. Most other programs I've found have been standard engineering degrees, which lead to graduate work in the subject. Any university in the world is the scope, as I'm not committed to residing with the United States.
Which presidential candidates are most likely to support the research and development of renewable energy? It doesn't matter if you list a Republican or Democrat... Just tell me what the candidate's specific stand is on the development of renewable energy. If you have links to any articles that specifically address this, I'd appreciate that, as well. :) Edit: Sorry about the thumbs down troll visiting my page. Don't be afraid to answer my question for fear of getting a thumbs down on your answer, because I will be reading the content of your answers, while ignoring the ratings.
The personal renewable energy distribution business? What’s to keep me from owning a big property, owning my own renewable energies (Solar, wind, geothermal) and then convincing my neighbors to use my energy and not the utility's electricity? I'm talking everything transformers, diagnostics the works.
What is the best renewable energy source? Please, just answer this if you really KNOW :) For a country that has sun, wind and geothermal areas, and lots of it all, in which order should these resources be used as energy sources, considering cost of production, land use and amount of energy production
Is mechatronics engineering applied in renewable energy sector? I am a mechatronics student and I would like to apply my education in a project related to renewable energy. I have a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. Mechatronics is my postgrad study. Maybe that's why I am directed towards energy applications for mechatronics.
How can I build a home with renewable energy? A primary eletric with backup A primary water heating with backup A primary heating with backup All while being energy efficient, while trying to "stay off teh grid" and be self sufficient.
Describe all of the renewable energy alternatives presented in the video.? Describe all of the renewable energy alternatives presented in the video. -What are some challenges with using and managing these alternative, renewable energy resources? -Name at least one other renewable energy resource not presented in the video. -Include a response to the following: Nonrenewable energy resources include coal, oil, and natural gas. Describe three common challenges with managing nonrenewable energy resources.
Instead of suspending the gas tax for the summer, what if the FEDs give a tax break for renewable energy? And take the fed gas tax and put the entire amount toward research for alternative fuels sources. That way there would be funding for research for renewable energy, and rebates for folks who actually save the environment and use less gas. Currently we have no incentive to save gas, other than the pocket book, and as soon as the price of gas goes below $3 everyone will be buying Hummers again. When demand goes down, so will the price....
Should we invest in renewable energy and alternative fuels? Lawmakers only focus on these high gas prices. I think they should look into investing funds into renewable energy and alternative fuels. This is the only way we can successfully become energy independent. And these fossil burning fuels are ruining the environment. For example they could put _______ billion dollars into automobile companies so they could lower the cost of hybrid cars, and _____ billion in the production of these vehicles.
How do I enter the renewable energy industry? I just left my job as an online advertising manager for a successful online retailer. My personal interests and sense of responsibility to help save our planet have prompted me to seek an opportunity in the renewable energy industry. Does anyone have any advice on how I can break into this hot new field? My background is journalism and a specialization in online channel partners, especially eBay, Amazon, and Shop.com. Thanks! Erik
To the doubters of global warming, would you buy renewable energy? I hear you, you are sick of Al Gore and aren't convinced in the science behind global warming. But would you buy renewable energy anyway, since it pollutes less? Even if it cost a little more? Say $5 extra a month for 200KwH if your Electric Company offered it? It would be nice if congress passed a law that required Electric Companies to offer renewable energy so that at least you would have the option to buy renewable if you wanted to?
I want to know more about renewable energy in Singapore.? I am researching on renewable energy. So far I know Singapore has implemented biomass, solar energy and fuel cells.
